We love and honor the people who serve and protect our great country. My family and I wanted to show some love and appreciation to all of the service men and women who give their all every day. Since I own a greeting card businesses called Lucy Girl Designs I decided to create a unique care package to send to troops overseas. Operation One Million Smiles provides greeting cards for United States service men and women to send to their friends and families. My idea behind the program was to send our soldiers a variety of different greeting cards that they could then mail to a family member or a friend. Whether its a wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, child, family member or a just a friend, everyone loves getting a card in the mail. It makes you smile! My goal in the next 10 years is to send out one million cards to soldiers around the world. I also plan on expanding the program to include thank you care packages for soldiers families. They sacrifice for our country too and we want to thank them with a personalized care package.
How it works: We select a specific service man or woman to send a box of cards to. Once they receive the cards they hand them out to other service men and women in their company/unit.

How to support us:
1. Join our monthly email list: I will be sending out a monthly newsletter talking about what happened that month with Operation One Million Smiles. It will include who we sent boxes of cards to, letters we have gotten from soldiers who have received a box of cards, and all the people who have sponsored the project that month. Just send an email to shannonevans123@yahoo.com and let me know that you want to be on the list.
2. Sponsor a box of cards: Each box of cards costs about $100 to make. This includes card making supplies, mailing cost and my time spent putting it together. One way you can support this project is to sponsor a whole or part of a box of cards. Whole = $100, Half = $50, and a Quarter = $25. Or you can make a cash donation in any amount. We appreciate anything you can give! We can also accept gift cards from Amazon, Joann Fabrics, Hobby Lobby or Michael's to be used to buy supplies.
3. Become a Sponsor: If you own a business and would like to show your support for Operation One Million Smiles you can become a sponsor. There are many different levels of sponsorship so please click HERE to see options or email Shannon at shannonevans123@yahoo.com.
4. Donate Items: If you have any physical items to donate listed below is the items we use to make the cards. Thank you so much for supporting our program and helping us create smiles all over the world!
8.5 x 11 white card stock, Scotch tape, any kind of scrapbook paper that would make a nice card design, ink to print labels Cannon Ink #251, envelopes size 4 3/8 x 5 ¾, preferably white but colors are okay too.
